2022 - Acryllic marker on (A3) paper

This artwork was created as a tribute to Arno Hintjens and as a Mother's Day gift in 2022. Using acrylic markers on A3 paper, it depicts a compilation of images of Arno throughout the years. The words "Een lach en een traan" (a laugh and a tear) are also included, which I discovered he used in an interview in the 80s and continued to use until his death. I admire his unwavering commitment to his ideals and his consistency as a person over the years.

By featuring various snapshots of Arno's life and including his iconic phrase, this artwork pays homage to his legacy and celebrates his enduring impact on his fans. Additionally, as a Mother's Day gift, it serves as a heartfelt reminder of the love and appreciation that we have for our mothers and their unwavering support throughout the years.

It is also part of a series of artworks by me called ‘ICONS’. It shows my love for each big icon that I personally look up to.
