About the series
In this series of paintings, I have depicted the possessions that hold a special place in my heart. As we live in a world that values material possessions, I find joy and comfort in the things that I own. My passions include playing the guitar, gaming, shopping for clothes, painting, drawing, creating illustrations, graphic design, and listening to music.
During the process of creating these paintings, I felt overwhelmed by the multitude of hobbies I had taken on. It seemed like I was juggling too many balls at once, and I struggled to find a balance in my life that incorporated all of my interests. It was then that I decided to start this project, as a way to bring all the 'things that I love' together in one place, in one row.
About this work
This painting represents my newfound passion for playing the guitar. In August 2022, I purchased a Gibson SG from 2011, which has since become my beloved instrument. I also acquired a Gibson Flying V from 2022, which I find to be an absolute beast that brings me immense joy. It's incredibly fulfilling to have these guitars hanging on my wall, and I cherish the time I spend playing them.
For a long time, I struggled to find a way to express my love for music in a tangible way. Although I played the piano for a few years and worked as a DJ for some time, it wasn't until I started playing the guitar that I felt I had truly found my calling. This painting is a testament to the significant role that music plays in my life and the joy that it brings me.
